The Ravensbrück Memorial and the International Ravensbrück Committee warmly invite to the central commemorative ceremony on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the Ravensbrück women's concentration camp.

Following the commemorative ceremony, further events will take place. The complete programme of the anniversary, which extends from April 11 to April 14, 2024, can be found here.

The event is public, and registration is not required. However, please note the following:

Participants are asked to refrain from displaying banners, flags, and clothing with political statements during the central commemoration ceremony. Exempt are flags and banners of former detainees associations.The Ravensbrück Memorial Museum will exercise its property rights and deny access to the memorial or exclude from participation individuals, parties, or organizations that have been or are noticeable for anti-democratic, racist, anti-Semitic, or other expressions or symbols that contradict the foundation's purpose.

By participating in the event, you agree that images and film recordings of you may be taken and published.

Important Information: The RE5 trains (Rostock Hbf/Neustrelitz Hbf - Berlin Südkreuz) are cancelled between Oranienburg and Berlin Südkreuz in both directions. A replacement bus service has been organised between Oranienburg and Berlin Gesundbrunnen.

For the route Berlin --> Oranienburg we recommend the connection with the S1 to Frohnau. From there, a bus from the rail replacement service will run. From Oranienburg, the RE5 to Fürstenberg runs again.
