Events

The International Forum of the Second and Third Generation is an exchange for relatives of former Ravensbrück prisoners and will take place this year on-site for the first time since 2019 at the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum. The Forum will be moderated and address questions such as:

• What role do members of the 2nd and 3rd generations play in preserving the memory of Ravensbrück?
• What influence do the experiences of the survivors have on the lives of their relatives?
• How do the experiences of dealing with the history of the survivors differ in the various generations?

The event is part of the program commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Ravensbrück Women's Concentration Camp. The full program of the anniversary can be found here.

Please note: The RE5 trains (Rostock Hbf/Neustrelitz Hbf - Berlin Südkreuz) are cancelled between Oranienburg and Berlin Südkreuz in both directions. A replacement bus service has been organised between Oranienburg and Berlin Gesundbrunnen.

For the route Berlin --> Oranienburg we recommend the connection with the S1 to Frohnau. From there, a bus from the rail replacement service will run. From Oranienburg, the RE5 to Fürstenberg runs again.
